Salicylic Acid

Your website and pictures of the day will be combined today. Check
out http://www.toothepastefordinner.com Thanks to Jase for the link.
Boo-Yah. Grandma.

Today is Come and Take it Day. Tomorrow is National Frugal Fun day.
It's a good thing tomorrow is Thursday. It's too bad I won't be
around to hang with any of you. Oh well. I'll be SLEEPING OUTSIDE!
For the first time since early August, which was the first time since
early May. Man how I love sleeping under the open sky.

Happy Day of Departure (bad euphamism for Death) to Samuel I (ruler of
Bulgaria, before the Greeks took Bulgaria back, and also before the
Turks took it from the Greeks. The Bulgaria we know now is very much
different, but in roughly the same place.)

On this day in 1893, Nabisco invented Cream of Wheat.

I didn't cut my hands once today! Not a single time! Haha! Oh how
free that makes me feel. But I'm not really.

Did you know that a muskrat is not the same as a mongoose? I used to
get them confused all the time, until I learned that mongeese (??) eat
cobras. That definitely stuck for me. Ahhh, the only benefit of
having taken 7th grade reading...

Why is it that barcodes can be scanned upside down and still read?
They arent printed the same backwards and forward... Maybe they are
inverted and the laserific scanners are smart enough to detect that.
Who knows?

Also, why do loud noises cause us to blink, but bright lights don't
make our eats temporarily shut down. Or do they?

I also have a question about Vulcans, but I'll spare you and just go
straight to the 100 Hour Board. If you're interested, you can check
the site in roughly 100 hours. Maybe less, in which case, I would
advise you to check the recent archives.

On a keyboard, I notice that "delete" and "insert" are abbreviated as
"del" and "ins". This means that only the first few letters are used.
Fairly simple right? Well, the "control" key is abbreviated as
"ctrl." I say, "what gives?" It's not like anyone would confuse
"cont" with say, contour or country. It would still be control. Ctrl
means nothing at all. It might mean "catterwail" for crying out loud.

Well anyway, it's time to set the table for dinner. Enjoy your evening.

Brian
