Yellow Three

Aloha! It's been a rainy and cloudy day today. Cloudy today, rainy
now. I'm listening to Crash Test Dummies right now, I like em.
Definitely old school. Definitely a distinct sound. Definitely 7th
grade.

I have eaten lots of carrots today. I ate two before dinner, there
was one carrot ground up in the meatloaf and then we had carrot cake.
I looked in the mirror, and to my shock, my lips were completely
orange. I remember watching The Magic School Bus, the episode where
Arnold kept eating carrots and he turned orange. I was really
thinking that was just a hokey myth or maybe cartoon cleverness. But
then I asked my sister about it today because she knows a lot, and she
said that babies turn orange too, if you feed them lots of carrot baby
food. I think I might be able to have a brilliant idea for
Halloween... I could be Agent Orange. Or maybe a BSU fan... Ewww!
Maybe I could be a traffic cone. Or one of those new orange flavored
Slurpees at 7-11.

Today is Mule Day and Make A Difference Day. Tomorrow is Navy Day. Go Navy!

Some words that begin with "O":

obdormition- numbness caused by pressure on a nerve, as when your foot is asleep
obscurantism- opposition to the spread of knowledge; deliberate
vagueness or abstruseness
octarine- the color of magic
omninescience- ignorance of everything, universal ignorance
omphaloskepsis- the contemplation of one's own navel to induce a mental trance
ozostomia- foulness of breath

I hope you like them. I hand picked them all, and refrained from
inventing any myself. If I invented a word, would you notice?

Well, I just spent like an hour not writing this email. I was looking
up other stuff, and none of it is really very interesting. I have
also been watching anti-Bush and anti-Kerry videos. Most are mildly
amusing, some are just stupid. It's a good thing the election will be
over with in only one more week. I'm sick of it already.

I think it's about time I got to bed. It's already 9:30. I think I'm
getting sick, I could feel that throat tickle this afternoon, and my
nose was also causing mild grief. I think I sneezed twice, which was
about eighty times fewer than I felt like I needed to. I kept having
those awful false alarm sneezes where you have to stop what you're
doing because your eyes are watering and you can't breathe and you
feel like your eyes will come out if you sneeze. Maybe that's why I
didn't. Gotta protect my eyes. They are one of my favorite sensory
organs, you know.

I'll try to get my new blog site set up. I will have my family post
all the letters I write home on the new site, so that when you don't
get a daily email, you can still feel like I'm thinking of you, and I
will be. I'm leaving in 21 more days, so you'll get at least a few
more emails, but after that, you'll have to check my site on your own.
There's nothing on it yet, but the site (in case you want to bookmark
it in advance) is http://briansmission.blogspot.com I might also
throw in a few other related things, I'll put my addresses on there,
and maybe a copy of my talk or whatever I feel like. Well, I'm going
to bed now, see you all later!

Brian

Alphabet Soup

Howdy all. I'm going to write this letter as if it is tomorrow,
because I realize most of you won't get it until at least 8 hours
after I send it out to the world. All the information I give will be
pertaining to Tuesday, October 26.

Today is "Make A Difference Day" and "Mule Day." It is also my Dad's
Birthday!! Happy Birthday Dad!

There are now 22 days until I leave, and possibly 4 (at fewest) or 11
(at most) days until I quit my job. I really don't like the thought
of staying there any longer than I have to, but the money would
definitely come in handy too. I'll think on it some more.

I just drank the last of the root beer. It was a pretty cheap bottle
(79 cents for 2 liters!) but you kinda get what you pay for. It was
the regular Albertson's brand, and they don't use the right
flavorings, or at least they aren't as potent as I like them to be.
The Brick Oven in Provo serves some good root beer, it reminds me of
black licorice. But not too much. Just enough to add some kick.
Nothing is quite as icky as watery root beer. Oh, well ok, some
things are far, far worse, but I am only talking in terms of root
beer.

Well, now it is tomorrow, it was yesterday when I started. Midnight
is such a funky idea. Is it still yesterday, or is it today? Well,
obviously, it's today, because it's always today, but it feels like...
well, today. It doesn't really make any sense unless you witness the
change of date. Ahh, deixis!

That word, deixis, reminded me suddenly of Grice and his maxims. I
really liked reading about them, and I once went to a really cool
presentation by Dallin Oaks' daughter (not THE Dallin Oaks, but this
one's cool too). She explained how Shakespeare intentionally violated
each maxim repeatedly, and she explained why we react the way we do
when people do that kind of thing. It was really interesting. You
should read about Grice. I'll try to find a good article... Ah, here
it is: http://www.litencyc.com/php/speople.php?rec=true&UID=1880
Enjoy.

And I must be going now, I have to get up early... today.

Popcorn

I heard one of the coolest quotes of my life tonight. It comes from
Julie E., she said "I'm all about value. I would be willing to have
diarrhea every day for a month if it means I get good value."

I'm running on two and a half hours of sleep right now, I went to bed
at 4:30 this morning. I probably should go to bed, but I'm not really
even tired. Maybe I should listen to Mahler's 2nd. That is such a
cool piece. It will undoubtedly help me sleep.

Today is United Nations Day, National Mother-In-Law Day, and National
Bologne Day. Mmmm. I really like bologne, and someday I hope to like
a mother in law. The UN is all right.

Tomorrow is "Punk For A Day" Day. Act like the poser you've always
been on the inside. Listen to some emo and call it punk. Or you
could really go for it and give up that nasty country music your
girlfriend made you listen to, and re-embrace the punk culture you
used to be a part of. Punk!

The comics were pretty lame today. I didn't see any that I
particularly enjoyed. It's a pity. I remember when we had Hagar the
Horrible. I don't remember if it was any good, but at least we had
it... And we also used to have Marvin, and I haven't seen that one in
ages either. I remember when our Sunday comics section was 6 pages,
now it's 4, and most of it is wasted space. Here is what I think of
some of the comics we get in the Statesman. "Rose is Rose": Blech!
"The Family Circus": Egad, someone needs to shoot that man. "Sally
Forth": I'd rather be cleaning the bathroom than reading this strip.
"Doodles": I blow a big ol' fat raspberry. "Lola": One of the
stupidest comic strips since "Cathy", topped only by... the one and
only "Mutts". I hate Mutts with a fierce passion.

Do you guys like cauliflower? Did I spell that right? I had pork for
dinner. It was good.

That's all for today. I'm pooped.

Strong and resiliant, beautiful and brilliant

I don't really have much to say today. It was a good day. I hung out
with Nic and Julie and Kevin. It was good times. Real good times.
Today was Babbling Day and Count Your Buttons Day. I did neither. By
the time any of you read this it will most likely be National Nut Day.
I think hazel nuts are the coolest. They just look so cool, and for
a long time in my childhood I thought they were acorns. I just now
remembered that.

My arm is twitching madly. It's not even individual tics anymore.
It's just going off. Madly.

A guy I work with has a certain brother, a doctor of anthropology at
ISU. This doctor is considered to be the world's leading expert on
bigfoot/sasquatch/yeti/abonimable snowman/what-have-you. I have heard
some pretty cool stories. It seems a little odd to me, but they are
cool stories nonetheless.

"Where is human nature so weak as in the bookstore?"
Henry Ward Beecher (1813 - 1887)

I kinda like Henry Ward Beecher. Did you guys know that he is Harriet
Beecher Stowe's brother? Well he is. Erm... was. That was pretty
much a long time ago. I bet he's not much more than a few clovers and
some worm food by now.

It's a little sad to hear that Dave Barry is taking an indefinite
leave of absence from his writing career. But it's kinda cool at the
same time. I heard that he might be returning in 2006. That's a long
way off, if you ask me. He's a funny man.

I need to use different headphones. The ones I have now are the kind
that go back behind my head. They're usually really cool, but I like
to listen to music lying down. I don't know why. It's better that
way somehow. But I don't like lying on my headphones when the weight
of my head is right on the thinnest part... But I also don't like
lying on my side, because it makes my ears sore. So I would really
like to use a normal pair of phones that go up and over the crown of
my head so that I can lie on my back. I might look into that. Right
now I am listening to "Daylight" by Brave Saint Saturn. It's a good
song.

And now I must go to bed. I have already stayed up too late. But
this has been fun. My sending this email is kind of like trimming
shrubberies. They look nicer AND they are healthier.

Busy on things you want to do

Yesterday was Wear Something Gaudy Day, and today is No Beard Day.
Needless to say, I do not have a beard at this time. Nor will I have
a beard for a good long while. I hear beards grow posthumously.
Cool! And last night I learned that people don't bleed after they
die. When the heart stops, the pressure stops and there is no force
pushing the blood out of the veins. Hyrum Smith was shot 4 times
after he was dead, and there was no blood on his clothes. I saw his
clothes last night. And his sunglasses and some other cool things. I
don't know how many of you were there or remember, but Hyrum's great
great grandson came to Provo sometime last year and we kind of went to
the fireside thing, but left early. The same fireside was held in
Idaho yesterday, and this time I stayed for the entire thing.

Tomorrow is Evaluate Your Life Day. Please do that, it's healthy, and
necessary once in a while. Tomorrow is also the day that Roper's CD
comes out. I wish I had some money...

"Time is like a drug, eventually it kills us" -Terry Pratchett

Today's Happy Birthday wish goes out to Wynton Marsalis. If you know
who he is, you are cool! I like him a lot. Check out this site!
http://www.wyntonmarsalis.net/index2.html

Well, that's all for tonight, I have to go for dinner now. Have fun all.

A case of clams

"I would be very worried if I saw a man singing the national anthem
and waving the flag, sir. It's really a thing foreigners do."
-Captian Wrangle of Ankh-Morpork

Apology on a misplaced comment in last night's email: I knew you
dropped band, Noel. I forgot that I knew it though. Meh.

I just experienced something that made me think. I was eating a
handful of Cheerios, when all of a sudden I accidentally dropped one.
I reached down to pick it up (the five seconds hadn't passed yet) and
I ate it. Meanwhile, I had dropped another Cheerio. I picked it up
too, but alas, I dropped another one. I thought, "This could go on
forever. I could be following a trail of Cheerios that doesn't go
anywhere." I was down like a monkey picking up Cheerios.

I'm pretty much all excited for tonight. It doesn't get much better
than DIII on the Smurf Turf. The only downside is that Boise State's
band will be playing at the end. Bah! Boo to them. Their field
shows are always just jokes, and their director is a sick twisted old
man. But I'm excited for the rest of it. I'll be up there in the
stands making noise and wearing my silver and maroon. If I can find
any.

The sunset was pretty good last night, not as cool as the one last
Thursday and Friday though. For those, I was out on a field, about 80
miles from Boise, so there were very few city lights visible. Late at
night, I could still see the glow on the underside of the clouds, but
luckily Boise was to the East, and the sun sets in the West. I have
rarely seen such good shades of orange and pink. Clouds rock.

Today is Dictionary Day. To celebrate, I will list links to as many
online dictionaries as I can find in, let's say... four minutes.
Ready, Go!

Phew. That was intense! I hope you take some time to click at least
one of them. I like dictionaries. Austin can attest that I used to
sit on my bed up in Stover and read his dictionary. He got one free
from the U of I, probably for being smart. I know it was some kind of
prize for some kind of test or whatnot. I wish I had a dictionary. I
used his more than he ever did. It was a Merriam-Webster's Collegiate
Dictionary.

Does anyone want a free Gmail invitation? I have 5 left. How about a
consumer testimonial? "Gmail rocks my socks" by Jase. He even used
a cool phrase.

Speaking of cool phrases, here are the runners up, they all tied for second.

"Wet and pinchy" submitted by Julie
"Your lives that I now spit on are but a caricature of a cartoon drawn
by a kid who is stupid" submitted by Caleb
"insegredient ignatz" submitted by Scott
"The grappling hook lay innocently in the tall grass, inviting the
curiosity of a passing rhinocerous or sparrow." submitted by Julie
"cool beans" submitted by Shalyse
"like a pack of dogs on a three-legged cat" submitted by Shannon
"good pie" submitted by myself in behalf of all

Well done folks, glad you played.

"A Volvo will never die, and you will never die in a Volvo. Volvo
owner's are immortal!" -Jose
Wava is so cool! Anyone who hasn't met her needs to go for a spin.
Hehe, spin 'em, Jose!

Well, it's been a good unproductive morning for me. I'm off now,
probably won't be around much this afternoon, and for sure I won't be
around this evening, and I don't know when I'll be getting home. Yay!

May all your endeavors be feasible,
Brian

'Tis Late at Night

Time for a few personal messages.

Julie E. - Do you have Kevin's email address? He said he wanted to be
added. When are we going for Slurpees? Happy Birthday!

Andy, Daniel, Kenny, and presumably Jase, Valerie, Trent, Alex and
maybe others - Good luck with your test in the morning, let me know
how it goes.

Megan, Noel, Jase, Brock, Alex, Trent, and Kyle (and anyone I may have
forgotten) - Good luck tomorrow night. Your show rocks!! I'll be
there for ya. Tell Karl and Kameron good luck too, I don't have their
addresses.

To Megan B. and Jessica - Have a good and safe trip this weekend, it
would be a pity for either of you to not make it. You're cool.

To Meighan - Congratulations again! I'm so excited for you!

To Kat - I promise I'll write you a personal email soon. Real soon, I hope.

And finally, to anyone who knows Nic - Call me if you want to go to
his thing this Sunday. I'm going.

Ok, that's all for personalized messages, if you want one and didn't
get one, tell me and I'll put you in next time. Or whatever.

So today (yes, according to my watch, it's still Friday for another
hour) was Cane Safety Day. Does that mean candy canes? Those things
can be sucked to a brutal point. I have fond memories of poking and
being poked by friends wielding sharpened candy cane swords. Those
are the sweetest smelling weapons ever.

Tomorrow is Sweetest Day, and (drumroll...!) Dictionary Day. Woohoo!!
I really do love dictionaries. I'm still planning on saving up for a
nice copy of the Oxford English Dictionary. It will be sweet! Also,
while I was browsing the OUP website, I found a book entitled, "The
World's Writing Systems" and it's also mad expensive. But it really
sounds like it deserves to be. It's over 900 pages long and it's
gotten good reviews. The cheapest I could find it for so far is $79.
That's a good $100 discount from the original price, but still a
little out of my range. Maybe the price will drop while I'm in
Venezuela.

Oh, I have chosen a winner for my coolest phrase contest. I liked all
of them a lot, but I'm going to have to say that "Cool is the name of
the little dog that jumps from house to house" is the winner. Nice
work Jules!

Did you know that James Garfield (one of our presidents, the 20th to
be precise) could write in Greek with one hand and Latin with the
other hand at the same time? Pretty snazzy if you ask me!

I found on the MSN Encarta website a little segment called "Who Am I?"
It shows a picture and it has a caption describing him. Here is a
link to the picture:
http://images.encarta.msn.com/xrefmedia/sharemed/targets/images/pho/t012/T012229A.jsm
The description was thus: "I was born on this day in 1844. A German
philosopher, I was one of the most influential thinkers of the 19th
century." Who was it? First to answer correctly gets a prize! I got
it right, only because of the day that Dr. Foster dressed up as said
guy and drew on a moustache with a dry erase marker. He's one of the
absolute best professors I have ever had! I remember all kinds of
things about logic and philosophy because he made things quite
interesting. He also played some Homestarrunner clips during class
sometimes. Oh, the fond memories of BYU...

That's about all I can stand tonight, I'm pretty tired. I realize
most, if not all of you will be reading this on Saturday, so have a
good day folks! Keep the emails coming, I like hearing from all of
you. Talk to you later!

Juggernaut of the late 1980s

A lot of good can come of discovering a large continent. Just ask the
Vikings who got there first and didn't do a darn thing about it. I
bet they're wishing they'd kept their stock in Newfoundland, eh?

Today is Paul Simon's birthday. Kool Oldies 104.3 did a special Paul
Simon tribute. Unfortunately, they only played his songs that were
accompanied by Art Garfunkel. Those are great songs, I'll have you
know, but I was really wishing they had played something like "You Can
Call Me Al", or "Diamonds in the Soles of Her Shoes" or something.
Maybe "Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard." I like that guy when he
was on his own.

Ha, I'm talking to this guy online that I haven't talked to in a long
time. He's David. He's absolutely insane, but dang funny. Some of
you know him, and some of you know his quite well indeed. The
Canadian and Austin know him better than I do, having spent more time
around him at school. One time David and I made up a song about Lewis
and Clark. Sung to the tune of "Lola" which is the most messed up
song on the planet. Seriously. Not even "Fish Heads" comes close.

"If I had 60 cents for every time I had a dollar, I'd be Canada!"

If you haven't heard that song by They Might Be Giants about the sun,
you need to listen to it as soon as possible. If you have iTunes,
look around for it, someone's bound to have it on their computer. And
if you can't find the right one, they're all good, so have some fun
with TMBG. They rock.

Ok, I need to be wrapping this up. I hope you enjoyed today's
message. It has been sponsored by the letter S, the number 4, and
viewers like you.

Applesauce for my health

The contest is still on, send me your coolest/most unique phrase! It
can be just a few words, or a whole sentence or whatever floats your
boat. As long as it's cool and makes me smile!

Here is a link to a movie that many of you have seen and enjoyed, and
that others of you may see and will enjoy.
http://www.superbowl-info.com/bin/edscatherders.mov

It's a good one, I had a good chortle last night. I also showed my
sister a site that I have already included in one of my earliest
emails. I'll put a link to it here:
http://homepage.mac.com/webmasterkai/kaicurry/gwbush/stateofthe.html
It's pretty funny if you forget all loyalties you may have for Bush.
Don't take it personally. Just lighten up and have a good time.

Today is Farmer's Day, Emergency Nurses' Day, and Moment of
Frustration Day. I haven't been frustrated all day, I used up all my
moments yesterday. Yesterday was a little hard to get through, but I
made it, and I feel much happier today. My eyes and throat still
hurt, and I have a lot of borborygmus action going on, but I'm all
right.

I just found out today that DIII is this Saturday. Do any of you have
tickets, or know how to get them? I would like to go. If I make it
to Night On The Hill, could I get tickets then? Or do I need to get
them sooner? Please help, I would hate to miss it. Really. I drove
400 miles last year to be there, it would be really stupid if, living
6.5 miles from the stadium, I miss it. I know a lot of you are in it,
so please help a brother out. Also, if any of you are in town, and
not performing and are going, let me know that too. We should totally
go together. Or maybe I could sit with one of yous' families or
something.

"Maglev systems offer a number of advantages over conventional trains
that use steel wheels on steel rails. Because magnetic levitation
trains do not touch the guideway, maglev systems overcome the
principal limitation of wheeled trains—the high cost of maintaining
precise alignment of the tracks to avoid excessive vibration and rail
deterioration at high speeds. Maglev trains can provide sustained
speeds greater than 500 km/h (300 mph), limited only by the cost of
power to overcome wind resistance."

http://www.bfi.org/introduction_to_bmf.htm
This is a link to some basic information of a highly influential man
that my sister got me interested in, I just stumbled across his name
and decided to throw in a link. I didn't know he had an official
institute. You may notice that he was born exactly the same date I
was if you read the year dyscalculially like I did.

I did some research and found that the 2005 World's Fair will be held
in Aichi, Japan. How cool! I really like Japan. The theme will be
Rediscovering Nature's Wisdom. I kinda want to go to one of the
Expositions sometime. I wonder how much it costs to get in. An
unlimited pass for 2005 costs 17,500 Yen, or about $159.50. So tight!
I think that someday I'll be able to manage that. It will have to be
my whole vacation one year though. Maybe in a few years when I'm
single and wild, and after I win the lottery. It's a pretty big chunk
of dough.

Rupturing Something

I'm holding a contest. The first person to give me a phrase that I
like best wins. I can't tell you yet what it will be used for. Good
luck.

Today is NOT Columbus Day, whatever else they may tell you. It's tomorrow.
Today is, however, It's My Party Day and Take Your Teddy Bear To Work
Day. Luckily I didn't go to work today. I love being sick.

I don't have any good quotes today. But yesterday I met a guy who
said, "How can I like the Red Wings? How can YOU like the AVS?!"
That was what he said. If I hadn't known him better I might have
socked him. Oh wait... I didn't know him at all. I don't sock
people.

"Hello kids! I call you kids, because you are. You're small goats."
That's a quote by none other than Reese Roper!

"We want peace and I won't fight the Americans." -Ahmed Hashem.
Hashem recieved $1,100 for turning his arsenal of 22 rocket-propelled
grenades over to America. Way to go Ahmed!

That's all for today. Go watch the news. Chances are, something big
just happened. A few weeks ago, I was watching the news, and that was
how I found out about the big chemical spill on Chinden. Good to
know, eh? See ya.

Salicylic Acid

Your website and pictures of the day will be combined today. Check
out http://www.toothepastefordinner.com Thanks to Jase for the link.
Boo-Yah. Grandma.

Today is Come and Take it Day. Tomorrow is National Frugal Fun day.
It's a good thing tomorrow is Thursday. It's too bad I won't be
around to hang with any of you. Oh well. I'll be SLEEPING OUTSIDE!
For the first time since early August, which was the first time since
early May. Man how I love sleeping under the open sky.

Happy Day of Departure (bad euphamism for Death) to Samuel I (ruler of
Bulgaria, before the Greeks took Bulgaria back, and also before the
Turks took it from the Greeks. The Bulgaria we know now is very much
different, but in roughly the same place.)

On this day in 1893, Nabisco invented Cream of Wheat.

I didn't cut my hands once today! Not a single time! Haha! Oh how
free that makes me feel. But I'm not really.

Did you know that a muskrat is not the same as a mongoose? I used to
get them confused all the time, until I learned that mongeese (??) eat
cobras. That definitely stuck for me. Ahhh, the only benefit of
having taken 7th grade reading...

Why is it that barcodes can be scanned upside down and still read?
They arent printed the same backwards and forward... Maybe they are
inverted and the laserific scanners are smart enough to detect that.
Who knows?

Also, why do loud noises cause us to blink, but bright lights don't
make our eats temporarily shut down. Or do they?

I also have a question about Vulcans, but I'll spare you and just go
straight to the 100 Hour Board. If you're interested, you can check
the site in roughly 100 hours. Maybe less, in which case, I would
advise you to check the recent archives.

On a keyboard, I notice that "delete" and "insert" are abbreviated as
"del" and "ins". This means that only the first few letters are used.
Fairly simple right? Well, the "control" key is abbreviated as
"ctrl." I say, "what gives?" It's not like anyone would confuse
"cont" with say, contour or country. It would still be control. Ctrl
means nothing at all. It might mean "catterwail" for crying out loud.

Well anyway, it's time to set the table for dinner. Enjoy your evening.

Staples in paper. Pstapler.

An item of business. If you are recieving this email and you don't
want it, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER?! That is all. If you want
off, just shoot me a reply or something. I don't mean to be
bothersome. Also, if you are reading this on the internet, and not by
means of email, and would like to recieve it in your email inbox, also
let me know. No sense checking the website every day, eh?

http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/sidewalk.asp For the next pictures
of the day.

Very interesting. I got it from my new favorite source of
information, and they actually did respond to my question (but did not
answer). That's so cool. And I noticed that someone else asked the
same question just a few days before myself. That is also so cool. I
hope it was one of you. Are you there?

Here is another fascinating site, more words, fewer pictures,
infinitely more references to Genghis Khan.
http://web.aces.uiuc.edu/news/list.cfm?NID=2467
I never knew most of that. Cool. Also check out
http://www.questia.com/PM.qst?a=o&d=95183303 Further proof that, yes,
country music is of the devil.

I've still got 6 Gmail invites. Who wants one?

That reminds me, the word 'got' seems to be not very important. Is
there ever a time when you can't think of another word for got? How
about recieved, understood, have... I say it is because it doesn't
come from Latin, as does received. I think Americans subconsciously
hate the Latin language. 'Got' is very Nordic, therefore, it has the
coolest origins in the world. 'Nuff said.

http://www.uib.no/isf/people/doc/leech.htm Thanks Shannon!

Well, that's a lot of outside stuff, and not much personal commentary.
So here's more outside stuff. Today is Do Something Nice Day. So do
it.

Sorry about the shoddy workmanship of yesterday's email. I could
blame it on being out of practice, but we all know I was just lazy and
tired and I couldn't think of a single other thing to put in it.
Today's is, I am afraid, not much better than yesterday's. Sorry
guys, I'm letting the whole team down. Owl Stretching Time was one of
the title options that was displaced by the successful "Flying Circus"
used by Monty Python. Hmm. Go meditate on that one.

The Empty

I am back. Here is an email.

Here is a picture for you to look at.

Well today is October 4. But you knew that. What you didn't know:
two days until Come And Take It Day. Do your worst.

I have nothing to say today. My mind is a blank. I think maybe some
of my vital connections have become disconnected. I want to go to
bed. Either that or else quit my job and travel around the country in
a van. That would perk me right up. I think it is at times like this
when the saying, "Excess on occasion is exhilarating. It prevents
moderation from acquiring the deadening effect of a habit." fits.

"Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege."

My brother is playing one of my University Chorale songs from winter
semester. It's a good one. It was written in Germany in the 1600s.
It has a lot of tension and angst, but then at the end it resolves and
there is a "triumphant chorus" to the end.

Well, uh, over and out.
